What does the FCJ verdict on ARD Buffet mean for publishers? Askan Deutsch in an interview with W&V

In its ruling on ARD Buffet magazine, the Federal Court of Justice has defined stricter rules for cooperation between public broadcasters and private media companies. WuV spoke with Askan Deutsch, a media and antitrust law expert from FPS's Hamburg office, about this verdict. In his interview, Deutsch highlighted the restrictive nature of the state broadcasting contract for such cooperation and spoke about similar cases before the FCJ in this context. According to Deutsch, the new ruling means that apart from seeking out legal supervision in such disputes, suits under antitrust law may also be a feasible possibility.
