Federal Court of Justice bans Uber Black – What’s behind the new Uber ban

Askan Deutsch in conversation with WirtschaftsWoche

The services offered by the mobility provider Uber has often come in for criticism throughout Europe. The German Federal Court of Justice has now addressed a lawsuit against Uber. WirtschaftsWoche has spoken with FPS antitrust lawyer Askan Deutsch from Hamburg about the background to the case. Even if these proceedings have now ended, Mr. Deutsch expects further conflicts involving Uber in the future. Although the ban that has now been issued applies only to a specific case and cannot automatically be transferred to other services, “...if Uber changes its business model only to a minor extent, then it is probably a new case”, says Askan Deutsch in a conversation with WirtschaftsWoche.
