German Brand Award 2017 - Gold
The business law firm of FPS won GOLD from the German Brand Award 2017 in the Corporate Services category. The prize is given to companies with successful, groundbreaking branding in Germany. After its comprehensive brand relaunch, this was the second time FPS won an award of this kind in recent months.
The German Brand Award is given for innovative brands, consistent branding and long-term brand communications, along with unique persons and companies that have blazed a trail in the world of brand management. It is awarded by the renowned German Design Council. FPS was honored as a corporate services company in the area of “Industry Excellence in Branding,” which features the best product and company brands from the top 34 sectors. According to the expert committee in charge, the FPS brand makes “a unique contribution to the German brand and corporate landscape (...), has an unmistakable brand style and successfully sets itself apart from the competition.”
FPS has worked tirelessly for years on relaunching its brand image in cooperation with design agency APPEL NOWITZKI. The comprehensive brand relaunch includes all aspects of corporate design – from logo development to value proposition and imagery, to office furnishings and the creation of company publications.
The law firm sees the award as further proof of its successful brand development in recent years. Back in 2016, the client magazine “FPS Views” received the 2016 Red Dot Award 2016 for Communication Design, beating out competitors and submissions from 46 countries. In 2015, the firm was also nominated for the German Design Award in the category of “Excellent Communications Design.”
“The award confirms once again that we are on the right track,” said Dr. Christoph Holzbach, marketing partner and head of the Intellectual Property practice group at FPS. “With our new image, we are communicating our outstanding brand expertise to the public. Protection of intellectual property, and particularly of brands, is among our law firm’s core business areas. However, we are not just well versed in all of the legal aspects, but we are a brand company too. For this reason, our own experience allows us to see brands, including their function and role in society, as part of our DNA.”
